Ken is a concrete and formwork specialist with more than 20 years of construction experience. He began his career with a family owned New Jersey based company that specialized in the design and installation of concrete hardscapes. As a Concrete Supervisor with Terra Tech Associates, Inc., Ken coordinated field personnel in all phases of concrete construction and assisted in the development of mix designs on many significant private and commercial concrete projects in New Jersey. During his tenure with Terra Tech, he became ACI certified in concrete construction technology and became an active member in both the ACI New Jersey chapter as well as ACI International.

While a Concrete Superintendent at the United States Mission to the United Nations building in NYC, Ken worked closely with planners and management to ensure the proper installation of roll-back formwork for use with architectural SCC concrete. Along with quality assurance inspections he also supervised daily concrete placement.

Ken was significantly involved with design solutions and on-site installation of the hydraulic self-climbing formwork system used at the WTC - Tower One in New York City. There, he served as a technical advisor to ensure formwork specifications for high performance, high strength concrete were met.

In 2012, Ken served as Concrete Project manager at the 432 Park Avenue tower in NYC. Working as an owner's representative for Developer Macklowe/CIM, he ensured the architectural concrete superstructure was being built according to design specifications. He also worked as a liaison between the contractor, construction management team, design team, and stakeholders of the project to facilitate architectural concrete decision-making and problem solving.

MATTHEW TERRANOVA

Matt is a concrete, formwork and VDC specialist with more than 15 years of construction and manufacturing experience. He began his career with EFCO, one of the leading forming and shoring companies in the concrete construction industry. At EFCO he was responsible for the designing, detailing, and on-site installation of formwork and shoring systems for civil, commercial and residential cast in place projects. As a Special Projects Manager with ULMA Construction, Matt oversaw the design, delivery and installation of advanced concrete formwork systems for mid and hi-rise projects in New York City. Including the Manhattan West building at Hudson Yards.

In 2015 Matt took on the role of technical advisor at a regional cast in place concrete shoring provider, where he served as a technical advisor. Matt provided guidance on the modernizing and organizing of the engineering and detailing departments, including the introduction and implementation of VDC processes and software. Matt was also significantly involved with design solutions and on-site installation of advanced shoring systems around the country.

Since joining RHa Matt has most recently worked on the Princeton University Art Museum, the new Rolex Headquarters, the Obama Presidential Center and the Jean & Rick Edleman Fossil Park at Rowan University . In addition, Matt has provided implementation and process improvement services for concrete contractors seeking to integrate VDC & BIM solutions to advance their 3D and 4D capabilities.

Matt has been working as a structural engineer for over 25 years. He began his career with Acrow Bridge, designing and providing technical field assistance for temporary steel bridge and shoring projects throughout the United States and internationally. In 2005, Matt became the Northeast Regional Engineering Manager for an international formwork manufacturer. He developed, managed, and oversaw all engineered formwork and concrete solutions. While managing the Northeast’s engineering department, Matt also took on the role of operations manager to run the company’s largest single project, WTC – Tower One, New York City.

In 2014, Matt joined Lendlease, eventually becoming the Chief Engineer for the Americas Region. He led Lendlease project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consulting engineers in the safe and efficient delivery of superstructure designs and construction. He provided in house technical expertise for Development, Design/Build, and Construction Management departments to deliver some of the most complicated high rises and urban building projects in the US and Mexico

As Director of Sustainable Concrete Technology & Solutions for BASF Construction Chemicals, Andreas was responsible for the initiation, evaluation and implementation of Green Sense Concrete technologies that address wide-spread concrete performance issues in sustainable superstructures. Andreas has authored more than 50 technical papers in various concrete industry journals and holds 9 patents on concrete technology. He has been integral with implementation of sustainable concrete solutions on global signature projects such as, 432 Park Ave, WTC – Tower One, and most recent, Kingdom Tower in Saudi Arabia. Andreas was recognized in 2015 by Engineering News-Record (ENR) editors, as one of the Top 25 Newsmakers in construction.

Jamie is a seasoned Architectural Concrete Specialist boasting over two decades of expertise within the concrete industry. Collaborating closely with stakeholders including owners, architects, engineers, municipal agencies, material suppliers, and subcontractors, Jamie has played a pivotal role in shepherding projects from conceptualization to final approval.

Formerly serving as a Concrete Superintendent at Structuretech New York, Jamie spearheaded the construction of numerous Architectural Concrete Superstructures. Additionally, he played a crucial role in the pre-construction phase of various projects, contributing his insights to develop bespoke formwork designs, refine placement methods, implement advanced alignment procedures, and conduct detailed analyses of vibration, consolidation, and concrete finishing techniques.

Committed to staying at the forefront of industry advancements, Jamie consistently seeks out the latest construction techniques, materials, equipment, and resources. His unwavering dedication ensures the realization of Architectural Concrete designs of the highest caliber, assuring superior outcomes for every project.
